About Hailey Livingstone, Furniture Designer and Builder

 

Hailey is a furniture craftsman. He works primarily with old-growth timber that has been reclaimed from buildings that are more than a century old such as: barns, granaries, dance halls, school houses, dairies and hotels.

 

Born in Toronto, Hailey was influenced by his father -- a cabinet maker and builder, and by his mother -- a poet, writer and radio broadcaster. His work is artistically crafted and constructed by traditional woodworking methods such as mortis and tenon joints, and wood dowels.
